Bartle Hall Wedding Photographer, Preston

If you're looking for a Bartle Hall wedding photographer, you've found one of my favourite wedding venues in Lancashire. As a Liverpool wedding photographer, I regularly photograph weddings across the North West, and Bartle Hall is always a venue I look forward to returning to.

Set just outside Preston, Bartle Hall combines a beautiful country house with a contemporary coaching barn, all surrounded by landscaped gardens, woodland and a tree-lined driveway. With elegant ceremony spaces, stunning grounds and plenty of natural light, it's a venue that offers beautiful opportunities for relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography in every season.

Whether you're planning a spring wedding beneath the blossom trees or a cosy winter celebration inside the country house, Bartle Hall provides a fantastic backdrop for natural wedding photography that tells the story of your day.

Why Bartle Hall Works So Well for Weddings

One of the things I love most about Bartle Hall is how much variety there is without ever having to leave the venue. Everything flows naturally from one part of the day to the next, making it easy for couples to spend more time with their guests and less time travelling between locations.

The grand staircase creates a memorable entrance into the ceremony, while the elegant ceremony room, landscaped gardens, woodland paths and tree-lined driveway all offer completely different backdrops for your wedding photographs. The venue also has charming architectural features, including original beams, feature fireplaces and beautifully maintained outdoor spaces, giving you plenty of options whatever the weather.

Photographing Weddings at Bartle Hall

My approach is always relaxed and unobtrusive. Rather than constantly posing you throughout the day, I focus on capturing genuine moments as they happen.

Bartle Hall is perfect for this style of photography. The light-filled bridal suite is ideal for natural bridal preparations, while the gardens and woodland create beautiful locations for couple portraits without taking you away from your guests for long. I also love using the tree-lined driveway, blossom trees in spring and the wooden outdoor walkway to create a variety of natural portraits that never feel staged.

Inside, the elegant ceremony room and warm reception spaces work beautifully for emotional moments such as the vows, speeches and first dance, while the outdoor areas are perfect for relaxed group photographs and candid moments between family and friends.

Planning a Wedding at Bartle Hall

If you're getting married at Bartle Hall, I'd always recommend allowing plenty of time to enjoy the grounds. Even a short 15 to 20-minute portrait session can produce a wide variety of photographs thanks to the different locations available around the estate.

Spring brings blossom and fresh greenery, summer makes the most of the gardens and woodland, while autumn and winter give the venue a completely different atmosphere with rich colours and cosy interiors. Because everything is located within the estate, there are fantastic options whatever the weather decides to do on your wedding day.

Real Weddings at Bartle Hall

I've had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Bartle Hall, each completely different despite taking place at the same venue.

From emotional ceremonies and confetti celebrations to relaxed portraits beneath the blossom trees, laughter-filled speeches and magical evening receptions, every wedding has its own story. You can explore some of my favourite Bartle Hall weddings below to see how different couples have made the venue their own.
