Lara and Karl’s intimate autumn wedding at Runcorn Town Hall was one of those days that felt quietly special from start to finish. Covering weddings across Runcorn and Liverpool, October is one of my favourite times to photograph here. The gardens shift into soft reds and golds, the air turns crisp, and everything feels calm and personal.

With around 30 guests, the ceremony stayed relaxed and centred on what mattered most: celebrating with the people closest to them. Small weddings have a different energy. There’s space to breathe, space to laugh, and space for genuine moments to unfold naturally.

One moment I’ll never forget was Lara’s arrival in a huge hummer limo, closely inspected by a tiny dog who clearly felt it was responsible for protecting the town. Its fierce little stare had everyone laughing before the ceremony had even begun.

As a Runcorn wedding photographer, the grounds at Runcorn Town Hall are perfect for natural, unposed portraits. Even on a chilly autumn day, the greenery and changing leaves add colour and depth, making it easy to capture relaxed, authentic images without anything feeling staged.
