Bashall Barn Wedding Photography, Clitheroe
Nicci & Todd

Natural and unposed wedding photography at Bashall Barn in Clitheroe
12th October 2025
As a Bashall Barn wedding photographer and Liverpool wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing Nicci and Todd’s autumn wedding in Clitheroe. Fog drifted across the fields, creating a soft, misty backdrop that made for perfectly atmospheric Bashall Barn wedding photography.
Wait… this was October? It genuinely felt like the middle of winter. Fog drifted across the fields at Bashall Barn in the Ribble Valley and completely covered the usual views, but it created such an atmospheric backdrop for Nicci and Todd’s wedding. The whole day had this soft, misty light that worked beautifully in photographs, even if it meant we couldn’t see more than a few metres ahead.
Their Bashall Barn wedding had a really cosy, relaxed feel. You wouldn’t guess it from the confetti aisle pictures, but directly in front of them the fog was so thick it looked like the world had been erased. After the ceremony, we wandered through the grounds capturing natural, unposed wedding photography: holding hands, laughing, sneaking off to the balcony for a quiet minute together. The fog actually made everything feel peaceful and intimate.
As a Lancashire wedding photographer, my style is always about documenting the day as it naturally unfolds. No stiff posing, no barking orders, just real moments. Bashall Barn in Lancashire is perfect for that approach. The venue has so many lovely spaces, from the ceremony room with its big windows to the rustic reception areas and the balcony that usually overlooks the valley. Even when the views vanish into mist, there’s still plenty to work with.
If you’re planning a Bashall Barn wedding or a Lancashire countryside wedding, you already know how beautiful the setting is. On clear days you get those sweeping countryside views, and on foggy ones you get atmosphere and mood. Either way, it photographs incredibly well. The staff are great, the layout flows easily, and there’s loads of room for guests to relax without feeling cramped. It’s one of those Lancashire wedding venues where you can just lean into whatever the weather is doing and trust that the photos will still look stunning.
By the time I packed up to leave, the fog had settled again and the drive down the pitch-black country lanes was… interesting. Imagine swirling grey mist, zero streetlights, and me muttering at my sat nav like it was personally attacking me. But honestly, totally worth it. Nicci and Todd’s day was gorgeous in a quiet, understated way, and the fog turned it into something really unique.
If you’re looking for Bashall Barn wedding photography, or a Liverpool wedding photographer with a natural, relaxed style, I’d love to hear from you. You can get in touch through my contact page to tell me all about your plans, or take a look at my wedding photography prices and packages.
