What an unforgettable day this was! Dee and Luke’s wedding at The Barn at Yew Tree Farm in Liverpool had everything you could ask for – sunshine, confetti, a rustic countryside setting, a vintage VW camper van, and even alpacas! As a wedding photographer in Liverpool, I’ve seen a lot of great venues – but this one definitely stands out for its relaxed charm and natural beauty.

The day kicked off with a calm but excited energy as Dee and her bridal party got ready at home. There was a real sense of anticipation, as we headed into the garden with her bridemaids and some fizz, for some pre-ceremony photos.

As a wedding photographer at The Barn at Yew Tree Farm, you can’t ask for better weather than we had – blue skies, warm sunshine, and soft light that made everything glow.

The ceremony took place in the barn itself, with its wooden beams and open layout creating an intimate, romantic atmosphere. You could feel the love between them, and so could everyone else in the room.

Then came one of my favourite moments of the day – a confetti shower like no other! The guests didn’t hold back, and the result was an explosion of comfetti, laughter, and genuine joy. Some of my favourite shots came from that sequence – you just can't fake those kinds of smiles.

After the ceremony, we took some time to explore the grounds for couple portraits – and of course, we had to get a few shots with the resident alpacas (who were surprisingly photogenic!). The relaxed setting gave us the freedom to capture a real mix of natural, candid moments and a few fun, styled shots too.

As the sun went down, the barn transformed into a buzzing reception space full of music, dancing, and some incredible moves on the dance floor. The rustic decor, fairy lights, and relaxed vibes made it such a fun space to photograph. Dee and Luke’s first dance was followed by a proper party – and these two clearly knew how to throw one.
