Amazing, relaxed city wedding photography at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool

I’ve put together a full guide to weddings at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool, including real weddings and planning tips.

As a Hard Days Night Hotel wedding photographer and Liverpool wedding photographer, I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Michelle and Chris’ big day. I’d been crossing the road in Liverpool on my way to the Hard Days Night Hotel, cameras hanging from both shoulders and a large bag on my back, when… SPLAT! A seagull had a go at my arm, thankfully missing my cameras 😅. A quick wash in a local bar later, I was ready to photograph their Hard Days Night Hotel wedding.
The John Lennon Suite was full of energy and laughter as I photographed Michelle and her bridesmaids getting ready. That kind of genuine atmosphere is perfect for capturing raw, natural moments in Liverpool wedding photography.
After the ceremony, I took Michelle and Chris out for 20 minutes to capture some newlywed portraits on the balcony and the spiral staircase — both amazing spots for photos. Later, their speeches, cake cutting, and first dance were full of joyful moments that really made the day memorable.

What did Michelle and Chris say about their wedding photography experience?
"From our initial meeting over Zoom, to finally meeting on our wedding day, Gemma was lovely, approachable, professional and friendly. From my first look with my Dad, to my Mum's tears, to seeing my husband for the first time, everything was captured so beautifully. Thank you so much Gemma for being such an integral part of our special day. You captured everything and more and these pictures will stay with us forever and you cannot put a price on that."
