29th June 2024

I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful wedding at The Reader Mansion in Calderstones Park, Liverpool. It was a rainy day, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the happy couple or their guests. It was a real family occasion, with Katie’s cousin as the DJ at Calderstones, and they even hired a magician to keep everyone entertained. The first dance to MmmBop brought a fun, lively vibe to the evening and made for some truly memorable moments.

As a Liverpool wedding photographer, I love capturing natural, candid, and unposed moments that reflect the love and joy of the day. Despite the rain, we were able to get stunning photos that showcased the beauty of Calderstones Mansion and the couple’s connection. The woodland area at the back of the mansion was perfect for capturing relaxed, authentic wedding portraits.

Wedding photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about telling a story and capturing genuine emotions. As a Reader Mansion wedding photographer in Calderstones, being part of such a special day and creating memories that the couple will cherish forever was an absolute joy.

If you’re planning a relaxed wedding in Liverpool, you can find out more about how I photograph weddings or get in touch to check my availability for your big day.

I also shot Marina and Sam's big day at the Reader Manison in Calderstones park during summer - very different to Katie and Liam's rainy day wedding (I like the rain though!).

Take a look at some of their gorgeous wedding photos from The Reader Mansion at Calderstones Park, Liverpool:

What did Katie and Liam say about their wedding photography experience?

"Gemma was absolutely amazing. From our first meeting to discuss what we wanted from the day to sending through our pictures. It’s so hard deciding which pictures we want printed as every single one is amazing. We unfortunately had a bit of rain on our wedding day but Gemma thought on her feet and managed to get some amazing shots of us! Thank you so much Gemma, it was such a pleasure to have you spend the day with us and thank you for capturing the sheer joy of the day!!"
