I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Marina and Sam’s beautiful wedding at The Reader Mansion in Calderstones Park, Liverpool. As a Liverpool wedding photographer, it was a dream to capture their day surrounded by so much history, natural beauty, and love. The sunny day made the perfect backdrop for their outdoor ceremony, and even their adorable dog, Dodge, got in on the action by carrying the rings down the aisle!

Being a Reader Mansion wedding photographer means making the most of every corner of this stunning venue. From the manicured lawns to the grand architecture, there are endless spots for relaxed, natural wedding photography. Marina and Sam’s ceremony in the outdoor gardens of Calderstones Park was full of heartfelt moments, and the vibrant surroundings added so much colour and life to their photos.

After the ceremony, we explored Calderstones Park for some unposed, candid portraits of the newlyweds. The park has so many beautiful nooks and crannies — perfect for capturing couples enjoying their day in a relaxed, natural way. It’s one of my favourite locations in Liverpool for wedding photography because of the combination of greenery, historic features, and light that photographers dream of.

Guests joined in with fun outdoor games as the evening set in, followed by the cake cutting and first dance. As a Liverpool wedding photographer, capturing these unguarded, joyful moments is always the highlight of my day — the laughter, the smiles, and the energy of the guests all tell the story of a wedding in the most authentic way.
